The International Aloe Science Council (IASC) inducted ECONET Chairman Bill Lee into the first "IASC Hall of Fame" to mark the 20th anniversary of its foundation in 2001.

“Mr. Bill Lee has been and is a major influence both in the Aloe Industry and in the growth of the IASC. Mr. Bill Lee has stimulated a great amount of aloe vera research through the Aloe Research Foundation which was funded by him. Mr. Bill Lee was one of the first members to have products certified, is an IASC Board Member and has been President of the Council for the year 2000-2001.” (IASC)
